Before we found Lisa, I was seriously considering home grooming.
Our cockapoo Pickle is very nervous of new people and very selective with who he trusts. When our old groomer moved away we were left in a bit of a sticky situation.
Lisa was highly recommend by a number of people. They all talked about the great relationship she has with their dogs, something that was my absolute priority, as well what an excellent groomer she is.
Lisa was incredibly patient with Pickle, taking a great deal of time over a number of sessions to get to know him and gain his trust before she even tried grooming him.
Pickle is always pleased to see Lisa and comes home full of beans and, of course, beautifully groomed. He also loves Lisa’s own dogs, particularly India, who is the sweetest, kindest doggy soul who helps to reassure Pickle when he gets anxious.
Lisa has always been incredibly helpful and accommodating, offering advice on the best cut to help manage grass seeds in summer, mud in winter, and tips on brushing at home, Etc.
She even helped us out at short notice, when Pickle had an eye infection, to give him a quick eyebrow trim. At the same time, she helped administer his eye ointment, something we struggle with at home. Under Lisa’s care, he accepted the ointment perfectly happily. Seeing how calm Pickle was under Lisa’s care gave me even greater confidence when I leave him with her for his regular grooming sessions.
Lisa is the best investment we make in Pickle’s care. We know that he is well cared for, that she is sensitive to his particular needs and he always comes home looking and smelling gorgeous. Please don’t ever move, Lisa!
